Host Upon is a privately owned hosting company based in Toronto. It sets itself up as an alternative to the large publicly traded hosts.
Its support team is entirely in-house, and the company sells itself on that point: "in-house support with nothing outsourced."
There are six types of hosting: shared, WordPress, VPS, reseller, dedicated and managed cloud. Prices start at around $2.95/month for basic shared hosting and go up to $175/month for a dedicated server with a custom firewall and dedicated resources.
WordPress features and performance
Every plan runs on pure SSD storage and uses cPanel to manage the account.
The WordPress plan costs $4.95/month and adds:
- LSCache content caching
- Automatic updates for WordPress core and plugins
- A built-in WordPress firewall

If you need more, there are three steps up:
